Taylor founded Writing for Joy, her creative company where she provides creative writing and wellbeing workshops for both adults and young people. Workshops are centred around the positive impact creativity can have on mental health and wellbeing, through mindfulness, creative expression and creative voice. She also runs a monthly online journal club, centred around nature and the seasons.
Trained in writing for therapeutic purposes, Taylor delivers workshops for charities, hospitals, schools, community groups and corporate clients. Her approach prioritises care, inclusivity and she works to create a safe space where participants feel comfortable to explore their creativity.

“It was a gift to work with Taylor – her workshop sessions were rich, honest and supportive of people new to writing. The impact was massive, people felt empowered to write about themselves & the world around them – some reading aloud for the first time. Taylor’s writing works so well for workshops – it connects on a human level, it’s full of emotion, depth and honesty. People see themselves & their worlds reflected back – it supports them to imagine themselves as writers.”

“Taylor’s Writing for Joy workshop was a thoughtfully structured experience that encouraged us to slow down, connect with our thoughts, and explore creative grounding exercises. Tapping into stream-of-consciousness writing and moments of reflection helped us feel fully present and reflective. It was very refreshing, and a lovely end to our company offsite!”

Taylor came to run a brilliant lunchtime workshop for our young authors as part of our weekly creative writing sessions . There was interest in participation from across the year groups, with writers aged 11-18 attending. Taylor created a warm and safe atmosphere for the workshop, and this encouraged students to share their work, ask questions about being a writer, and participate fully in all the exercises. The feedback has been really positive from the students, who have been working on their poems with the possibility of shaping them into an entry for the school Eisteddfod. Thank you so much, Taylor – I would definitely recommend you to other schools.

“Taylor delivered a wonderful Writing for Joy online session as part of the Carers Wales Me Time programme for unpaid carers. She was incredibly encouraging, supportive, and calming, creating a safe and welcoming space where participants felt comfortable sharing and taking part. Her gentle approach and thoughtful guidance allowed everyone to engage at their own pace, and feedback from carers was overwhelmingly positive. The session was uplifting, meaningful, and clearly had a lasting impact on those who attended. We would happily work with Taylor again and highly recommend her as a facilitator.“
