“It was a gift to work with Taylor – her workshop sessions were rich, honest and supportive of people new to writing. The impact was massive, people felt empowered to write about themselves & the world around them – some reading aloud for the first time. Taylor’s writing works so well for workshops – it connects on a human level, it’s full of emotion, depth and honesty. People see themselves & their worlds reflected back – it supports them to imagine themselves as writers.”

– Rhiannon White, Common Wealth Theatre

Taylor came to run a brilliant lunchtime workshop for our young authors as part of our weekly creative writing sessions .  There was interest in participation from across the year groups, with writers aged 11-18 attending.   Taylor created a warm and safe atmosphere for the workshop, and this encouraged students to share their work, ask questions about being a writer, and participate fully in all the exercises.  The feedback has been really positive from the students, who have been working on their poems with the possibility of shaping them into an entry for the school Eisteddfod.  Thank you so much, Taylor – I would definitely recommend you to other schools.

Writing for Joy

Created during the height of lockdown, Taylor created Writing for Joy, a series of online writing workshops held on Instagram Live. Using writing exercises to encourage reflection and expression, the workshops were designed to inspire positivity and improve wellbeing, as well as being delivered in an accessible and comfortable way.

The workshops have since been adapted to be delivered for community groups and schools, as a way to introduce participants to the ways creative writing can inspire joy.

– Aurora Trinity Collective

“Listening to Taylor talk about her journey in writing and listening to her read her poetry was inspiring for our students. The advice Taylor gave to support their own creative writing will come in so useful for their up and coming exams! Thank you Taylor and we’d love to have you back to speak to other years in the future too.”
